This day has started out pretty cruddy. I hope the rest of the day goes better! First off, the normal rush in the morning of getting ready for school and work put most of us in a bad mood. Then, I go out to start my car, and dumb me, left my seat warmer on all night and it killed my battery. Earthdog comes out to stick the charger on the battery, and mind you, it's only 9 degrees with a nice cold wind and every part of my body was starting to freeze off, and I was trying to be nice and I plugged in the charger in to the extension cord before he got there, which apparently, is the wrong thing to do, so I probably fried his charger cuz the wires crossed and sparked. So, my car wasn't ready to start yet, so I took his car to work. I get to work, put the car in park, shut the car off, but I can't get the stupid key to come out of the ignition. I've driven his car many times before so I was pretty sure there was no release button or switch on the column, but I could not get that dumb key to come out. So I call Earthdog on the cell and he said when it's this cold, the button on the shifter doesn't come out all the way, so the key is still in the locked position. I tapped on the shifter and the button came out and I was able to pull the key out.............. So, here I am, thawing out, trying to get motivated to work. I guess next payday I will be buying a new charger and I have to start unplugging my seat warmer instead. And, I'm thinking about how darned cold it's going to be this coming weekend through next week! They are predicting -10 to -15 degrees at night with windchills of -20 and higher! And why did I move to Wisconsin again? ?? Have a good day!

Maybe if you had a better attitude in the morning, instead of being all pissy things would go better for you. I told you 3 weeks ago to unplug that damn seat warmer. You don't need the thing. Your buns are hot enough. You need to start listening to the man about the house. Women, what a pain in the keister. You can't live with them or without them. Sometimes I think the latter wouldn't be so bad.

I would die if it was -15 degrees. My drafty windows and door jams just wouldn't do, and if I lived the heat bill will make me need to sell all my rocks.

The day ended up becoming "normal". I went home at lunch and my car started. What was weird was that my headlights were still on, too. But I don't know why I would have turned them on yesterday because it wasn't dark enough to turn them on. I think I got sabotaged! As to my "seat-warmer". I have survived all these years without having my butt warmed, but I thought it would be nice on them extra cold days when you're sitting there waiting for the car to warm up. It's been nice, actually. I can pretend my car is a luxury car (except theirs shuts off automatically when the car shuts off)! ;D It seems like appliances always break down when it's inconvenient! Like when you're vacuuming up a mess or about to take a shower and the hot water heater blows. Why don't they break down when you don't need them??? Husbands always love getting vacuum cleaners for their birthdays!! Thanks, Earthdog, for the use of your car today. I only moved the seat forward so I could reach the peddles (sp?). I didn't move it up or tilt it.

Besides...we have a right to be pissy in the AM...our hubbys don't know NOT TO TALK TO US until we've been awake for at least 2 hours. (ok...I need 3)
23 years of marriage...you'd think they'd know by now...sheesh.

takila --- you should of just sat one of those big quartz crystals out there and turned it toward the sun --- the enegry would have flowed right into that battery and the whole area would of been warm!! ( seat included ) ;D --- as "kramer " would say "tranquility -- tranquility " ;D ;D -- early in the morning !

When I got in ti this afternoon to go get tickets to the big bike show in Chicag tomorrow, I just about broke my knees..

It is the coldest day of the year here in Waterloo Iowa. It has not been this cold for about 11 years. Just plain burr! It's colder outside than in my freezer. I don't even want to go outside.

I appreciate her so much, that I took her to the big 'cycle super show" today down in the windy city, then I let her buy me dinner at my favorite greek place afterwards! It would of been nice if she told me she moved the seat forward before I jumped in and racked my knee on the dashboard. We drove her Blazer to Chicago and I really wacked out her seat today.
