No freakin way!!! It hit 30 here today- I finially was able to bust the snow clumps out of my wheel wells (kaklunk kaklunk) and the idiots that were supposed to pick up my tractor never showed- so keep you cold and snow- (yea I know- our long range has us with highs in the teens for the next week or so!)

Windchills are supposed to be in the -50° range tonight. We have a windchill WARNING from midnight until 10 am tomorrow then it changes to an advisory until sometime Sunday. I was thinking I should ask Kimmy to adopt me and get me out of outer Siberia. ;D

10 years ago we had -58° as our actual temp and a little town about 35 miles from me hit -60° on the nose. I'd rather have -60° with no wind than a windchill of -40° anyday.

And Im complaining about 32!! However, Im using the wet cold excuse (the beach) that others cant claim to. I remember cold days in Wyoming and Ohio and Wisconsin when I was younger that never felt like the cold days here in Virginia. And I agree... wind chill sucks.

Right off Lake Ontario the cold is a damp cold. I grew up in Wisconsin and as cold as it gets it never felt like this. But I suppose by Lake Michigan it would be a damp cold as well. And let us not forget the beauty of Lake Effect snow....which, Stefan, passed me by again. :-)

Man, I can really sympathize with you guys! It is supposed to go all the way down to 30 degrees tonight here in S.C., with a high tomorrow of only 54 degrees. Brrrrrr! Hahaha...uh-oh...duck! Incoming snowballs!

Incoming snowballs! Drop that another 60° and you'll have what we had here last night. We're having a heatwave now though, it's warmed up to -13° (1:17 pm). I need to put that thermometer where the sun hits it, maybe I can trick myself into believing it's really nice out. ;D We had the distinct honor of being the coldest in the nation earlier today, can't wait to see what tonight brings (joking, seriously joking).

WHat happened to that Global warming thing? YIKES We are having some SERIOUS cold- the temp was only -2deg. but the Wind CHill is just Killer!!! We get a ton of snow off the lake- but that warmer water usually helps to Moderate the temps a bit (cold for us is below 20 degrees) But man we still have open water on Lake Erie (bad thing) and with this sub zero stuff it is making for some nasty snow (only a foot over the weekend) but the wind blown drifts are starting to narrow down the roads! Yikes and more on the way for tonight

Last night was another at -28° below ... I am so not a happy camper! We made it up to -2° but it's dropping again already. This was supposed to be on it's way out by today but they keep extending it's stay. Someone a couple of blocks over from me lost their home today to fire, always happens when a real deep cold spell hits.

I feel so guilty for complaining about it being in the twenties this morning. Lori

Don't feel bad Lori, that 20° probably felt to you like -20° does to me. Shoot, I was standing outside today without a jacket talking to the Commander from our American Legion. The wind had dropped almost to nothing so I wasn't even cold and it was still -16°.
