Yeah, you'll be back getting a 15 lb tumbler before too long. Trust me...

Yes you are Probably right. But want to keep cost down right now. But if I do move up to a larger tumbler I can still use the 3 pounder.

Greetings All,
Ah it seems like only yesterday when my son and I drove to Arkansas to purchase our first tumbler and a large load of rough to start with. Little did I know I'd end up with three Lortone QT12/66 machines, six 6 lb barrels, one 12 pound barrel, and 4,400 lbs of rough on the way. Now I'm looking into purchasing grit by the 100 lb lot, looking at another QT12 soon, trying to convince myself that I REALLY DON'T need to spend another $60 or so even if I get more than 20 lbs of amythest for it.
Yea, I'd say starting out with a 3 lb tumbler is just the beginning of a gradual transition into a rock-tumling addict, just like the rest of us around here ;D
Enjoy it!

William. 4400lbs of rough on the way! Dude, way cool. I bet the ditch will get some colour during the journey. I bet you find some really exciting stones. You had better get grit by the hundred weight, that is going to be a lot of tumbling. I am excited by what you will be able to relate to us low key tumblers. You will be able to run experiment and control tumbles with enough rough to predict outcome. Most excellent, good luck.

Yes I was in this tubling hobby about 25 years ago so I do know how much fun it is. I am older now and plan to Learn the hobby this time. I mean that I want to learn all the tricks that make it all fun. The more you know the funer it is. I was just 15 years old when I was tumbling and did not Reilly learn how it worked or I did not understant. It is more fun when you know what you are going.
