You realize Stefan, this is payback for all the bragging you did last year about being out on the deck grilling while we were freezing and getting snowed on. Yup, that's what it is. ;D PS ... Here's a wagon wheel in my backyard in March last year.

I think it's great. How far from Parish, N.Y are you? They are saying they got 100" of snow. I'd love to get snowed in for a week, as long as our kids were with their other parents of course..

Earth- Parish is about 200 miles from me- the problem around here is WE know what to do with the snow- heck they have only closed school 2 days this year (one for snow, one for the -35 degree wind chills) I predict that the last of the snow will be gone by April 1st!!!

This may possibly be the first year I can remember when mine will be gone by the first of April. I have my doubts though.

Parish is about 50 miles west/northwest of us.....and about 25 miles from where my folks live. they opened the schools back up today according to the news.
we are supposed to get extremely cold temps the next few days and that will turn off the Lake Effect for a bit.
i'd be very happy to be able to take the plow off the truck by the end of march this year, but i ain't holding my breath.

KD, don't get too cozy.....a Nor'easter is moving in about Wednesday. I just hope it snows itself out before I have to leave next Sunday. Parish is about 15 miles southeast of me. They say we got 85 inches, I think

we are getting hammered here today, woke up to 14 inches of snow and it's still coming. took 2 and 1/2 hours to plow the driveway and dig out the mailbox and i'll have to do it again in a few more hours.........running out of room to put the dang stuff.
risked life and limb to fill the bird feeders, it's thigh high in the back yard.
at least we still have power!

I spend 2 hours on the drive- I had given up going to work- just to dang bad- The boss called- We had a delivery and it was left outside- So I trudged into work anyway (but they paid me for the whole day- and I only worked 3 and 1/2 hours!)

i plowed again today and then tried to dig out the mailbox (windchill -10 F). the banks on each side of the driveway are so hign you can't see above them, so i tried to slice off the tops....yeh, like that worked.
the wind is now gusting up to 40mph and they are predicting more lake effect. i thought i was going to have heart failure trudging out to fill the bird feeder (note to self, next year, put it closer to the house). shoveled a path for the heating oil delivery guy and then shoveled off part of the deck.....three motrins later, i'm feeling like moving to Arizona.

I did the driveway yesterday, the neighbor did it again last night. Who ever gets out first, does both driveways (they aren't real big). today was more blowing than snowing I think, I didn't go outside.
