Sounds to me like that law is way outdated. I don't see how they can consider a paper cup of ice and soda a missile. Road rage yes, it was uncalled for but a missile? She should have been given anger management classes, a fine for littering, and community service instead of jail time. I'm not seeing the funny side of this. Her husband is in Iraq on his third tour of duty and she's in jail for two years. Wonder where her kids are? I'd say in this situation that her husband should be shipped home immediately to care for the children.

I can add that the law in the state I live in came about because of a snowball. A man and woman were traveling down the road when the husband was hit in the head with a snowball. Caused him to go off the road and hit a tree resulting in the death of the women, pregnant. Here it is called a projectile, different name, same thing, felony. Any time you have attorneys involved, things are bound to go south!! Common sense seems to have little to do with the laws that are passed.

I guess i found the stupidity of the whole thing funny- I was the victim of road range once- But it was only spit on the windshield (2 days later the same car was flipped upside down in a ditch- with the cops there and the driver in cuffs- I just smiled and waved to him- ahhh sometimes life is good) so I think jail time was very harsh for this poor woman-

That's a blessing for her kids, I'm glad the judge reduced the sentence.
