Ooooooooo they make me so mad!!! I just found out about this Land Before Time game for Gameboy Advance. I'm thinking what a great gift idea for my grandsons so started doing some searching. Found one on eBay for $9.99 and thought WooHoo, 20 minutes left to get a bid on it. Almost hit the make bid button then thought wait a minute, how much is shipping. What a rip-off, they wanted $7.99 for shipping to the US and CA and that's for general delivery. Dang thing wouldn't cost anymore than $2.50 for 1st Class mail then I noticed if you want priority you have to add an additional $3.95. Ooooooo I'm so mad. There's another one for $9.95 with $8.95 shipping and another at $10.75 with $9.35 shipping. WTF is it with these people that do that? Do they think we're all so freakin' stupid that we don't know that they are screwing us on the shipping?

Some people are too stupid, others don't care - they just want to 'win' an auction. Keep searching, you'll find one.

I've seen Land Before Time in the cheap game bins at Walmart too. You can probably get it for $10 and not have to pay shipping at all.

How about EBGames? or amazon.com?
Actually that's pretty much what we pay for shipping anything in Canada! But that sucks -

Cher: Boy that is one of my pet peeves too. By making profit on the shipping instead of a higher minimum bid, the sellers save on the E-Bay posting fees and the shipping doesn't count towards the final sale fee. Kind of a sneaky way to make profit off the buyer and screw E-Bay out of money at the same time. I don't like it either!....mel

Tweet, they have a few on amazon but I haven't tried the other one you mentioned. I'll check them and at Walnut also next time I go over there.
I found out another thing a seller is doing too. They have the thing for calculating the cost of shipping so I thought ... hey, did I find an honest one? NOT!! Apparently they set the weight at about 5 pounds cause when I figured the shipping it was$7.99 on theirs too.
Mel, I thought I heard that eBay had done something about the ones using high shipping costs. I suppose it was all talk to stop people from complaining about it for awhile.

cher if you notice on the ship calc, it says shipping and handeling charges all included in the price so they just add a handeling charge thats why it comes up so high haha they must use gold laced tape cause the boxs are free hahaha-----when i see them do that with shipping i just clic out fast as i can id rather them charge me more for the item then try and sneak in a screwing with the shipping haha--- like ya said anybody buyin on ebay knows what shipping is atleast close too dont they relize how many people they loose bidding cause of tryin to be sneaky

I ordered two used gameboy games from Amazon, got really good prices on them too and with shipping and handling about $3.50. Shipping to me was under a buck on both items but a couple bucks for handling is doable.

As Tweety noted, those shipping rates aren't too bad once you get out of the USA. ;D
About a month ago, I saw a slab or something on ebay that had a $40 shipping charge to send it to Canada. That was beyond ridiculous, so I decided I'd report the excess shipping to ebay. Ebay claims they want to hear about overcharge shipping, but I'll be darned if I could figure out a way to contact them to report it, all of the links seemed to lead to dead ends, so I just dropped it. Since it seems difficult to report, sellers are pretty much left to set their own shipping rates. I just don't understand why ebay wouldn't make it easy to report such things and do something about it.

I'm glad it worked out well in the end. You don't need the aggravation!

When we can put in our zip code and search/sort by current price plys S&H, then sellers will get in line.
Many online engins (e.g., pricegrabber.com) will sort listings by TOTAL cost. Ebay could easily do this, yet they don't;

They often times over charge on shipping. The reason why people do that, is so that they get the amount that they really want for the item. Ebay charges the seller $XX for the dollar amount of the starting bid, and again after the auction end, but they don't charge you a percentage on the shipping.
I've often bid on 0.01 gameboy video auctions with shipping charges being $20 (when I get it, the actual shipping was between $1 - $2). I buy it anyway because I know that they're available here, and even if they were, they'd cost me more then $30
