It's possible. The just issued a winter storm warning for us beginning Wednesday at 6 PM and continuing through to 6 PM Friday. I've never seen them issue a warning for two full days. Hmmmm The weatherman said if you need anything, get it by early tomorrow afternoon cause you won't be going anywhere after that until Saturday or Sunday. Also, he said this storm is bigger than the last one so everyone who got hit by the last one can expect to get hit with this one. Jan, Warren, Debs get prepared, I'm sure you'll get it before I do so take care and stay warm.

We were fortunate and never lost power. ended up with about 4 to 5 inches of snow but we did have 1/4" of ice first so that wasn't very pleasant. right now the roads are clear and the sidewalks are in good shape. supposed to hit here during the night and continue for the next couple days. I can hardly wait.

As long as it is snow, I don't mind it as much. It is the freezing rain that I really hate! Ice is terrible to walk on, and I miss my daily walks! I took a tumble yesterday and thankfully I only have a few scrapes and bruises---and no broken bones!

Sands, I'm praying that we don't lose our electricity, I'd have to sit in my car with it running to stay warm. Don't have a fire place, forced air furnace downstairs and electric heat upstairs. We'd be up that creek without a boat or a paddle. I'm going out tomorrow morning to get groceries and stock up on some goodies. I don't want to have to go anywhere till it's over. We're supposed to have winds up in the 30-40 mph range, I'm not looking forward to that at all.
Jan, I'm with you, I hate the ice too, hopefully we won't get any of that.

Sometimes the news and the weatherman talk it up so much that is scares everyone, and then it doesn't even come close. That's what they did to us last weekend. It was worse to the North of us, but still wasn't as bad as they made it out to be. I know other areas did get it bad. We were supposed to go to Earthdog's daugher's city-wide choir concert Saturday night, but they cancelled it due to the "blizzard warning". The weather didn't kick in until after midnight, and they ended up cancelling the "blizzard warning". I know the schools have to abide by their policies regarding weather, but because the "experts" predicted this bad storm that didn't produce, all the kids and their families lost out on a nice evening. I know it's better to be safe than sorry, but that goes to show you how the media hypes up everything!
Take care, though. I know weather can go either way. Stock up on food and batteries, just in case. Maybe it's time to think about getting a woodstove or a generator for times like this!

Hey Stefan, you'll have to talk to Ron about him keeping it there. He wants the snow so I'm going to push it east as fast as I can.

I cannot imagine what it is like for you guys and girls over there. Our winter daytime temperatures rarely drop below 22 degrees C (No idea what that is in degrees F). Stay safe and warm folks. Cher, I'm praying that your electricity stays on for you too, mate. Mike

Wow you stay warm all the time. According to the online temp conversion I found, 22 degree Celsius = 71.6 degree Fahrenheit.
We're ok through today so far but I don't think we're going to get the huge snowfall up here. Looking at the radar, seems like when it gets up to us, it starts to disintegrate. We only got a couple of inches so far but my parents about 35 miles south of me got quite a bit more.
I'm more worried about our Iowa friends, they are closing roads in Iowa now so it's getting really bad there. And our friends to the south who are getting the severe thunderstorms and tornadoes. Hope everyone checks in to let us know they are ok.

Cher, glad to hear things are doing ok. I often hear people, including myself, say how we would love it if snowed...we really have no idea what we are asking for I think. Besides, our houses, schools and everything just aren't built for it. I'll keep praying. Mike
