Was trimming my dog's toenails yesterday, an operation that she really doesn't like, when she suddenly gave me an odd look, and wham, she tried to trim MY fingernail. I'm not sure, maybe she planned on taking the whole finger. You wouldn't believe the abuse that I take from this dog who professes to be my friend! Ron ps. Don't know what I'd do without her though!

Yeah, but you know what they say, "Once they get a taste of human flesh, they don't want anything else!". Ron

By the way, anyone catch the community service spot that Sarah McLachlan did for the ASPCA?

Yep, know the feeling! Our new JRT didn't like me telling her to go to "her" food bowl a couple of days after we got her and she nailed my hand pretty good. If I press on that area, it still hurts (and we've had her 3 weeks now)! If a little dog can get you like that, and I know it wasn't all what she's cable of, can you imagine what a big dog could do? When dogs are in pain, they only bite because that's the only way of telling you to stop, it hurts! Hope you heal fast!

Ouch, I hope your JRT did not do any permanent damage! I have a JRT, too, and she tried to establish herself as the alpha female when she was still a pup. Luckily, I have a book that told me how to deal with this trait in Jack Russels, so I am now the alpha male and she has never tried to be top dog again.
