I can't remember if I read it somewhere, or saw it on TV the manmade goldstone was originally was mad by monks. Tami

Gold stone today, is manmade. There are a few examples of natural goldstone and I have only seen one is about ten years. Natural gold stone looks a little different from what is currently available. It has a different feel, look, although they are similiar if two pieces are put together, you can tell the difference.

Wow, yet another clueless website. He describes the pale wannabe emeralds he's selling as "rich green". He says "unikite"(misspelled) is green and red jasper, when "unakite" is the term for a mixture of red feldspar and green epidote.
Yes, goldstone is manmade, copper dust in glass, dunno what he's talking about, the trade is full of misleading names, like tanzanite.

Ahh yes another "MArketing" ploy- I remember when I was a kid and the buzz over Herkimer "Diamonds" can't tell you the number of people that I've met at the mine who still think they are walking away with a true diamond (even after the little mining lesson they give you first)
