After we got the power supply going again, the dang thing decided it needed Windows reinstalled. Did that, got to the point of updating the system files when the blue screen of death appeared. After that I gave up for a couple of days, but it was sitting on my table taunting me so I had to keep going. So today, after much cussing, I finally got the cd burner in and working and one of the hard drives into the temp computer I have set up here. I am so relieved, I was able to recover the pics of my grands, to me more important than anything else on the drive. Those pics and my web sites really had me in a total panic (like you couldn't tell). ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) Thanks for listening and all the help, I'm much happier now and there's another computer on it's way. ;D This one will hit mach speed compared to the dinosaurs I've been running. ![](http://www.rosebudm.com/bp/dance.gif) ![](http://www.rosebudm.com/bp/dance.gif) ![](http://www.rosebudm.com/bp/dance.gif)

So glad to hear that, Cher! You go, gal! Were you able to get anything else, or just the kids' pix and website info? Hope you were able to recover it all. Best of luck to ya! Hope you kept notes, so when someone else has a meltdown, you can coach them thru it all.

That's exactly what I did last night, burned all my pics and web files to cds. Darn good thing to cause for some reason today, this stupid computer is not recognising the other drive. ![>:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/angry.png) Guess it's mad cause the slave drive is bigger. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) I'm determined to ignore it today, I'm going to enjoy my emeralds.

LOL KD. I'm glad you got it up and running Cher. Look for another birthday present end of this week (maybe early next week). ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)
