I've killed my computer! Okay, only part of my computer - the keyboard and strangely enough a stick of memory. It's a sad tale, one full of adventure, danger, woe, and heartbreak. Wednesday night, I placed my Diet Coke in the freezer. It was warm, you see, and I was out of ice. I left it there while I was at choir practice, and then, yup, I ran a few errands. I walked my dog to my parents house so he wouldn't whine at me that night...and while there, I remembered my little Diet Coke in the freezer. It was a race against time! I ran my dog home - hoping to avoid the mess in my freezer. Luckily, evil had not yet been perpetrated. My coke had not exploded! I felt so relieved. I figured, I'll sit by my computer, let the soda thaw a little, and read some from the board at the same time. Sounds like a plan, right? Half hour later, I gently crack the bottle for a nice, cold coke...only to have the lid come shooting off - fizzes of icy cold soda exploding everywhere! My hand can't contain the fizz - my eye is watering from the frozen coke that shot into it. I have soda all over me and dripping from the ceiling as well. I finally get it recapped. I clean off my keyboard, unplug all my equipment near the mess and finish cleaning the area. An hour later, I cautiously turn everything back on....SUCCESS! It still worked! But the next morning, well, it wasn't the same story. So, I had a red eye from the icy blast and my computer sadly beeped at me. And I didn't even get to drink my Diet Coke!

Oh Rhonda, that's totally horrible. I've killed keyboards before, I had one that was addicted to coffee and carolines. ;D I got smart then and got a cover for it. I've never had anything do damage to anything else though. That's really a bummer, hope you got it all fixed now.

It knocked out a stick of RAM? That is wierd. I am so bad at consuming beverages while computing. As I look at my desk; 2 bottles of water (capped) 1 can of beer (empty) and a coffee cup. (I don't want to look as mold makes me want to barf) Hmm. Time for another beer.
