I had to return the first keyboard I got for my new computer, it turned in to the devil keyboard and would type 66666666666666 by itself, scary. Hmmm maybe I should have put it on ebay. Anyway, I went to walnut to exchange it and the only black keyboard they had came in a wireless keyboard/mouse set. It's by Micro Inovations, does anyone by chance have one similar or know anything about them? The keyboard works great, I like it but I can't get the mouse to work at all. Does anyone know anything about these things? Cher

I use one all the time for my laptop Cher. I bought it as a stand alone, and reqiured a driver install to work. usaually the driver comes on the CD with the mouse. But if you got it as a bonus, they may of not included the CD for it? If not, you should be able to download the driver on the manufactures website. www.mic-innovations.com/Display.aspx?category=Input%20DevicesI love using mine becasue i can do more multi task work using hotkeys and the mouse. I have to change the single AA battery about once every couple months.

GET A MAC! (Okay you know I had to do that). Yes I had to download dell software for mine (since it's a dell mouse). It eats batteries...absolutely eats them so I'd recommend you go the rechargeable route.

Cher - you might have to push the button on the wireless transmittor and then on the bottom of the mouse for it to work. I've used a micro innovations at different client sites, and sometimes they "lose" where their home base is. Pushing the two sets of buttons helps it remember.

Herm, Macs rule! I have used Macs at work since 1989, and I can fix or troubleshoot darn near anything. Unfortunately, I did buy a PC at home, because that's what our school uses and I didn't want to confuse the boys too much. Freaking Frustration! Getting better on the PC, it does actually have some pluses. If everyone would trash their 'Publisher' programs, things would be much better. OK, I'm done, that little vent felt good.

BTW, Cher, I do have a MI wireless mouse; w/mine, there is a mouse-sized round thingy that you do plug into your computer that your new mouse has to be able to "see". Not sure about the keyboard; perhaps your keyboard 'sees' the wireless unit and your mouse does not? Just an idea. My kid hooked it all up, and as I said before, I'm a Mac person.

It can see the receiver and I did push the buttons on both of them, that's pretty much why I'm stumped as to why it doesn't work. Says this product uses Insta-link Technology which allows you to begin using the keyboard and mouse without synchronizing the devices to the RF receiver. But if they do not work .... yadda yadda yadda. So I followed the directions to no avail. ;D Darn good thing I do have a regular mouse that works so I guess I don't care all that much, just thought as long as I had it I could try. I did get rechargeable batteries for the keyboard but I don't have a charger for the AAA size so got regular batteries for it. Stupid mouse! I'll give it another try tomorrow when I start the computer, pain in the backside having to unplug the wired mouse only to find out that the wireless doesn't work. Thanks for your help anyway, I appreciate it. ;D
