well i had told ron i had red birds but apparently it was doves. they either fell out of the nest or something then got in my flower bed and just hung out. this is where they are everyday now unless something really scares them. they don't want me to get too close but as long as i keep a bit of distance they don't try to fly away if i'm out there. they notice i'm coming and they get ready to take flight if needed then realize it's just me and got cozy again kim

I like your garden and it seems they like it, too.

aren't those mourning doves?
And you your thread title made me think of the song "Young doves/first doves...filled with true...devo-0-o-shun..." or something like that.

Awww look at them. My neighbor and I are really excited, we have a pair of them visiting our yards every day, hopefully they will nest close by.

Mourning doves are so neat! We have them around our house quite a bit. I went home for lunch earlier this week & there was a pair of them on our front porch. I like your garden, too!

My mom has some of those and she calls them "the big dum-dumbs" they act so kooky - I once thought they were owls from their "hoots"
