Well, I finally did it. I bought a Lot-O 4.5 lb. vibe. Plus a lot of grit, plus some rocks ;D, from the Rockshed. I was going to get a 2-barrel Thumler, too, but they were out of stock. I should get it Monday. Good thing I'm going to be out of town this weekend, because if I had to stay home waiting over the weekend, I would not be pleasant, LOL. I'm not sure how the 'star' thing works (altho I think it revolves around # of posts), but I think I should move up from 'considering spending too much' to actually 'have [glow=red,2,300]definately[/glow] spent too much' on rocks!!!

I need to get a job a get money so I can buy a tumbler and start tumbling. Maybe if I be really really nice to my parents they might consider buying me. My dad's mum collects some great rocks and gave me some. I have tryed taking some photos of my rocks but the images suck.
Does the cammera make a big difference in how the image will come out?

Nathaniel, the camera does make a huge difference in how they turn out, you really need to have a camera with a macro setting on it. If you don't then try using a magnifying glass held in front of the lens. Get as close as you can with it still in focus, the put the magnifying glass up, you should see a big difference though you might need to refocus some.
