Tumbling for me. But than again, that's all I know. I very much want to get into cabing and slabing though. I just don't have the $cash$ to do so yet.

Tumbling is an excellent hobby, but cabbing is where to make yourself a bit of money.

Greetings All, Tumbling first, since I'm already doing it. Then sphereing will be next, need a saw and a machine. Then onto faceting...maybe some slabbing as well. I don't know why, but cabbing just doesn't do it for me. No disrepect intended William C Colley

Faceting is the way to go. I am a mathematic moron and with the computer I can calculate the ISO with each stone with parameters. I do so enjoy it. I tumble to find the gem grade stones. I did facet in a trillion some blue aventurine William sold me. It measures 40mm. Looks kinda like tanzanite except it is not clear.

I started with tumbling. But, found a good deal on a rock saw. So...I have been tumbling and slabbing. Goodness knows where this will all lead! Except for a thinner wallet.
