Cleo, I do understand your feeling of 'loss'. What Warren said is true too!! I was 40 when my youngest (of 4) left. Sure enough, a few events occurred, and three of those kids came back, at various times, and a few more than once!!!! But basically since 40 and freedom, it has been one big party. I work of course, but I have 'play money' now, more time, and tons of 'freedom', and I can basically fly by the seat of my pants. I don't need plans and schedules, I can worry just about myself/hubby. Big fun awaits you, I promise!! It's a little 'gift' of life from when the children leave till you get old-------whenever that is. Enjoy it!

My son left at 13! My son Tom and I did everything together.I don't remember a time that I left the house, other then going to work that he wasn't with me. He was always with me in my workshop, fishing, hiking, flying kites, camping.shooting, and all the rest! When he turned 13 he found out about girls and off he went!! He didn't leave home but he might just well have and I can't put into words how terrible I felt loosing my buddy! He will be 40 on July 1 of this year and we have got back together again! He has 2 sons now and I can't wait to see his reaction when Joe ,the oldest finds finds out what girls are for!! Two years ago as a Father's Day gift Tom took me on a 2 day fishing trip for Chinook Salmon up on Lake Ontario. On the drive there he said there was only one rule on the trip. The rule was,the trip was all on him and that my money was no good!! Tom has turned out to be a son that any father would be very proud of and I thank God for it every day! We're back together again and it feels great!! Your day will also come!! connrock Tom
