I don't have a lot of friends here in Wyoming so I hope you guys don't mind me falling apart here with people I trust. As some of you know the love of my life fell in March we have been married for almost 18 years now to some of you that may not be all that long but you have to know I was 16 when we got married so he has been my rock my love and my best friend for almost all my life. When he got hurt I went in to stone mode do what you have to and be strong well today it hit me and well I am falling apart I almost lost him! I just can't stop thinking I would stop breathing if I lost him. I looked at these pic's today and it just hit me like a ton of bricks so here I am spewing at you guys just to get it off my chest. He broke 18 bones both hands, wrists, arms, elbows and his head in 5 places. he has a large blood clot behind his eyes and has lost some of his sight the Dr. said it will come back with time. Thanks for letting me get this out. Steph These are the pic's from that night. he is doing very well back to work just one more surgery to fix his head tomorrow morning and all is done I hope. This one is one that just makes me smile he wanted us to write this on his cast for him! With what he has to face he still had a since of humor!

Oh my gosh Steph!! For once, I'm speechless.
Know that you have many friends here. You can talk any time you want to and we will listen. In fact I'll send you my email address and you can fall apart any time you want to with me.
I sincerely hope the surgery goes well and everything gets back to normal with you and hubby. Please keep us informed.
Curt

Whoa Steph... You guys have been through the ringer huh? Amazing story... he must have been in shock to be able to drive in that condition.... Will say some prayers for the surgery tomorrow but it sounds like he's already got an angel looking after him. Dan

I'm glad he is healing up. You and your family are in my prayers. It's good that you told the story, it will help you. Just know in your heart that we all care.

OMG Steph, no wonder you are falling apart but you totally deserve it. Not to mention, it's the only way you can get rid of the burden and be able to continue on as the caregiver to help your hubby get through this. I can't believe the guys he worked with let him get in his truck and drive after that, he certainly had an angel riding with him. I will definitely keep you both in my thoughts and prayers that the surgery goes well and his healing is speedy.
Don't feel bad about falling apart here. You won't find better, more understanding friends to talk to. I know from experience how much it helps to have friends when you need someone to listen and share your pain with. The friends here are the best!!
