;D ;D ;D George and the kids took me to see one of my fav singers ever The Drifters!!!!! We had a blast got to dance to all the 50's and 60's with my little Cina ok not so little 14 lol Mom made sure that she could do all the moves as we dance all the time to the oldies. It was a real sock hop I wish I had pics to share but my dang batterys wen't dead  It was a thank you gift and a welcome rest. Steph  Save the last dance for me..... |

That was probably a blast Steph. People can say what they will about the oldie-moldie-rusty-dusty-double-old good-ones, but those guys created music not only with their instruments, but with their voices as well.
I've been hearing locally that in celebration of the 40 year anniversary of the Summer of Love, there's going to be a free concert in Golden Gate Park in SF with a lot of the old bands that made San Francisco the happening place it was then. Man, talk about flashbacks!! I'll be there for sure!

My Mum use to say I was born in the wrong time I would love to hear sounds of the 50's and 60's coming from her record player. I wish I could go to SF and be a part of that. The best part about tonight was sharing it with my kids and watching them sing every song and I hope one day they will say to there kids I love that song my Mum played it all the time. Or if up on the roof is on they will say you know I saw them sing that live with grandma she was danceing up a storm. Steph PS the storm is in bed at this sec with sore legs and back lol but 100% worth it!!! |
