Vacation was great! Takila rode like a champ and only had to pee every two and a half hours. 2,685 miles total on the Harley this time. We left on Friday the 18th. Rode to Toledo and stayed the night then finished up the ride on Sat. Here I am after getting into Rockville Md. I needed a power nap for ten minutes and Takila thought it would be funny to take a pic. She said people passing by were looking, it looked like a dead guy laying in the grass. After my nap we rode another 200 miles to Ocean City Md. to my brothers beach house. The beach is only 150' from the surf. This is my brothers beach house, with an in ground pool next to the carport. It's 3 levels and absolutely beautiful inside. He had to have paid a huge bundle for it. 7 bed rooms, 5 bathrooms, one with a Jaccuzi tube and another full bath outside on the left of the house with a media room and huge kitchen and dining room, living room and 2 fireplaces. On the beach in the evening for a romantic walk, and pickin up shells. Takila telling me the water was cold, Then I spotted some dolphins playing around in the water, We took a boat tour of Assateague Island, where the wild horses live. On the Island, Takila was trying to catch something in the water,

Baz, the gas prices here now are up to $3.84 for the 93 octane which I use in the Harley. Takila was catching snails and small things like that.

Holy Crap!
We have to go to California in 2 weeks, I'll bet the prices there are closing in on $4.00.

Great Pics of my favorite brother and sister Just out of curiosity, how many miles will your bike go on one tank of gas? And after all those miles, doesn't your butt and legs get sore? Inquiring minds wanna know!

Sis, I can squeeze about 180 miles out of a tank full of gas, if I keep it under 85 mph. The tank is 5 gallons. This trip, my right ass cheek started getting sore, and Takila would get a stiff leg so we just take our breaks when I get gas.

Hah, stop in Nebraska and fill up, we are at $3.39 here. Just filled up 2 young mens' vehicles because I am a "SUCKER" and my sons' jobs have not yet yielded a paycheck (they just got out of school, but Friday is payday, and they will pay me back!). And we were thankful for that price. But, then I thought about it. Why should we be thankful for that price? Who am I allowing to influence my perception of "good" And folks here in our town are against that ethanol plant?? LOL, there's always a different point of view.

Gas was actually running under $3.00 per gallon in Indiana, Ohio, PA and most parts of MD and VA. And the motels in Ohio are cheap! When we saw the dolphins in the water, Earthdog first thought they were sharks! I said sharks don't swim up and down like that. It was totally cool to see them! I don't even remember seeing them in Southern Calif. when I was a kid, only seals/sea lions and jellyfish. Had a great time!
