Roland, thanks for all you do and have done! I hope you get a hero's welcome when you come home. As a former Howard, myself, with two Howard brothers who served in the 80s in peacetime, a Howard father and other greats who served, a nephew somewhere over there, a neice who is going back etc. etc., please know how grateful I am! I hope you don't mind, but I sort of consider you family. To that end, I am passing on a story from our local paper. My son's girlfriend is the gal who plays taps and wrote the letter. I had that awfull feeling about you over there. (more so than anyone else I've ever known) It is sooo wonderful that YOU were able to tell us. That's a good indicator that you'll be well in my eyes!
