Crap guys...was I THAT outta line when I tried to get Lesa to see that sometimes we say things without realizing we may be hurting someones heart? I really, truely didn't think Lonewolf was a "bad" person, but when someone points out to me that I probably was offensive to others...and that was NOT my original intent...I need to apologize.
I guess he couldn't stand the heat...so he got out of the kitchen. Oh well...............................his loss.

I also posted some of my opinions that you probably disagreed with in an older thread, but I really didn't want to offend anyone, especially you. I'm sorry if I did.
This forum is about rocks that all of us love.
The group is too big to agree on all of the themes discussed in the "Life and Universe".
I'm sure that if I'd say something bad about bikes, Earthdog and Bikerrandy (and probably others) would bring a lot of arguments about how great is to ride a bike, how free do you feel while doing it, etc while others would post about how dangerous they are.
You see? Here is not a biker's forum, not an anti biker's forum, not a straight forum, not a gay forum. So it's normal to be pro and con opinions in all those fields and in many others. These opinions should be expressed in a civilized manner and without anger.
But we all agree about the beauty of the rocks and here you find some people which are a lot like you from this point of view.
We all know the way "normal" people look at us from time to time with a sort of mercy, trying in vane to understand why do we "lose" our time searching for rocks.
That passion for rocks is what really joins us.
So why leaving? It would be pitty. Please stay, you add a lot of color and originality in that forum.

Well, I have a few gay friends; men and women. Xena if you start running now you will never stop. My other friends; do to the general ingnorance of many, have to spend some time every week educating and letting people know hey I am here; I am real, I am very much like you and I am not going to let you push me out. I don't spend a lot of time here on the life universe thread. If I do see something I usually put in my 2 cents; if I saw the thread I would have put something in, but I didn't see it. Come back!

Hope you have a change of heart. There are many small (minded) people and they are everywhere. The most recent thread was particularly vicious (for this group). Maybe some of the Homophobes were having "Imus" type days.

 I haven't seen the thread so don't know what was said but whatever, I'm very sorry to hear this on our forum. I totally believe certain posts do not belong anywhere if they are hurting someone's feelings and the abuse of freedom of speech in order to hurt someone's feelings is just as wrong. I myself have found time to but heads with members, on non-rock-related topics. However it gets old fast, but not as fast as any hate mongering to any group, sect, idea, or cuase. When its just a rant, or out of the blue topic.
We find time to get together to talk rocks, but our indifferences break us apart. Each time i log into this place to read and discuss, i find something like this. Its sad more on the part of the group and not the people who hate monger in my opinion.
I am sorry Xena for that and though i missed the topic in question, i understand your point. As i have several friends and realitive who are Gay. They are no different than any person i have ever met, online or in person. In fact, i find more down to earth, senible, common sence gay men and women more so than i find that in hetrosexual humans. I am sure you will be welcomed back with open arms. But you are also welcome to other places that wont tolerate that when it has no merit or cuase except to hurt someone.
