Hello all
Just a quick report from my local agricultural show - the Royal Cornwall Show - no rocks I'm afraid but a few old bikes (for Randy, Earthdog et al) and dancing JCBs!!! ;D
Just came back from the showground - it is an absolutely glorious day so I took some photos.
First up was this steam-driven log saw - might try and rig up a 60" diamond blade on this one!!!! (as long as there is a waterfall nearby it shouldn't be a problem):
There were loads of old steam and traction engines all beautifully restored:
Had to take a pic of this seeing as I am a Jones myself:
Here is a view of just one of the carparks - there were about 8 more of similar size dotted around (all full up):
A replica of the first steam road locomotive (built by Richard Trevithick - a very famous Cornish steam pioneer):
A steam powered water-pump - I was thinking of putting a silicon carbide wheel on this - it would make polishing boulders much easier!!!!
Vintage bikes for Randy, Earthdog and anyone else that's a biker:
Another Cornish steam engine:
WOOOHOOOOO - dancing JCB diggers!!! Great fun watching these as they dance to music:
The diggers unfurled the Cornish flag much to everyone's delight:
Then there was Dave the Human Cannonball from the US just before he went flying acroos the showground!
I got a video of him in full flight - but I couldn't see him land (he might still be in the air for all I know!!!) - here's the video anyway:

On top of all this there were hundreds of stalls, crafts, animals, cars, agricultural machinery etc.
Had a lovely day - just thought I'd share it with you all
