Takila had another craft sale on Saturday, she did very well. Then after I helped her pack up I rode the Harley and she drove her Blazer towards home, we stopped at the Hogs Nest to slam a couple drinks then on to home. We both jumped on the Harley and went to one of my co-workers birthday party. A big backyard party. I kept slamming Mikes Hard lemonades while Takila had the Mikes Hard Limeades and she was taking shots of Cuervo tequila pretty good, I'd say she must of had at least 10 shots that I counted. She even had another of my co-workers ask her to go make out! Remember, I work with a bunch of truck drivers. Everyone there was feeling "no pain" A couple of us had our Harley's there so we decided to do some burnouts with the bikes. I did my first ever big burnout on my Harley. In fact one wasn't enough. I had to do another after it got dark and put my red LED engine lights on. I filled the whole backyard with tire smoke. My new back tire, ain't looking so new anymore. I was ok to ride us both back home though. This morning, I got up at our normal Sunday time of around 7:30 went down and made coffee. I felt real good but Takila was another story. She didn't get up till around 11:00 and she looked like, how can I say... one of the land mines in the backyard from lacy. She sat down on the couch and said to me, "this is the last hangover I'm ever gonna have" Takila drinkin tequila! I'll be sure to get some pictures next time I light up the back tire on my bagger!

Doggie--geez louweez, I can't believe you did that!!!!! Burn out the tire I mean!! You got a money tree somewhere that I don't know about?! If you like burnouts (personally I do, but not on our own bike , then I need to let you know when Doc's of Shawano has his big party. It's a monster party, everything free, and he has a burnout pit. You gotta see this! You two could get a motel or camp out right at Doc's. I'll keep you posted.

Ok, I did have a hangover yesterday..........and it sucked! But I did NOT drink 10 shots! I had 2-3 Mike's and 3-4 shots! And, unfortunately, the big mistake was that we didn't have any dinner! The last time I had had a meal was around 11:00 AM! I should have known better.
Anyway, Mister Burnout..................he JUST bought a new back tire right before our trip! And then his drunk co-worker had to show him how to do a burn out (which I'm surprised he didn't know how before that). You didn't mention about messing up your clutch did ya'? It was an ok party, but all I learned from it, besides you need to eat before you drink part, was that his co-workers are a bunch of drunks, though they may be fun drunks, they like their alcohol too much. Too many bad memories from my past.
Anyway, that was my last hangover..........yes, I've said it how many times over the last 20 some years, but I'm getting too old. I still don't know how alcoholics do it? They must never get hangovers.................

You don't even need a backyard for burnouts...

Takila we all say never again. But I too am guilty of self inflicted pain. Seems to happen about every 2 or 3 years. Alcoholics don't get them cause th alcohol never gets out of their system! Look at it this way you had fun and didn't wear a lampshade.

Takila forgets how many shots she had! Thats because she had ,,, many. I told you how many I counted! She had a six pack of Mikes and we brought home only 2 of hers. I didn't screw up my clutch either, it just needed to be adjusted, which took me all of 4 minutes to do. Have you ever met a truck driver that didn't like their alcohol?

Oh girlfriend!...I know how ya feel. (or felt) I'm gettin to old for this stuff too. I have 3 or 4 days to recoup for the one day of fun. Last time I REALLY did it good, was my 40th birthday. Didn't wear a lampshade, but I did manage to dance around with a corona bucket on my head laughing like a loon! They still talk about that damn bucket...

I know we ALL have "lampshade on the head" stories! I behaved at the party. I have no regrets (except for the hangover). And I still stick to my story about how many shots I had. My "shot buddy" kept coming over to get me and then when I followed him, he got distracted and would go off in a different direction and forget about me (which in retrospect, I'm glad happened!). The shots Earthdog thought I had never really happened! So there......................
I had 3 Mikes, that I'm sure of. But, if you recall Earthdog, when we left and went to grab the Mikes, one was missing and it wasn't cuz I drank it.........
I know, I'm protesteth too much, but I did keep track that night, unfortunately, my body wasn't ready for what I thought I could do! It's a good thing that 4th of July is on a Wednesday night............since I have to go to work the next day, no partying allowed!

drinking on an empty stomach will (ta)killya everytime. i, too, have more lampshade on the head stories than i'd wish to share, a lot of them involve lack of food before diving into the beer pool.
but we never learn, do we? well, maybe for a while.....
