Everything's so green and she's nice and plump! It's been a good year for rainfall so far in Tx. I'm having a hard time keeping up with the lawn myself and it looks like more rain this evening. I've never heard grass scream when mowing the lawn but I've heard it sigh when an evening shower comes through after a blistering 100* day!

Texas grass is tuogh, it doesn't scream when cut. :-)
Yup, been a good year so far for this part of the state. The lakes are full and the rivers flowing. Maybe they will wash up a few more rocks.

How special to have someone so beautiful stop by for a visit. You know, we don't have rocks (except for coquina, Tampa Bay agates, and fossiliferous limestone) here in Florida but we do have some really nice wildlife. The first time I saw a deer up close and personal here in FLorida I was so touched by its beauty. I remember looking around for its mother--it was just a little, itty bit of a thing compared to the deer back home in Pennsy and Jersey. Eventually I learned that in addition to not having rocks in FLorida, Florida doesn't grow it's deer very big either. That deer I saw was the full grown version.
Ah well, we do have some mighty pretty shells here and some really neat fossils. :-)

I just wish the deer would stop eating my grass. Maybe if I made more sausage they would stop. Nice pic thanks for sharing. Steph

That's so cool when wildlife comes into your yard! We have a couple of bunnies living around our house!
