Hey all, I finally made it home, and the family is very happy now that we are back together again. The kids first fun thing to do was tear open the new AR-2 and start the rocks, it was a gift from me to them. They also had to show every cool rock that was sent to them from our new RTH extended family....thank you all so very much for caring and sending the kids a very awesome collection of rocks. I also included a few pics of my vehicle, the guy on the right was my driver, I was the gunner. PETE THANKS FOR THE START IN TUMBLING, YOU ARE THE BEST.[img src="[/img] i115.photobucket.com/albums/n309/41infantry/th_whereiwasstanding.jpg"]

Welcome home!! I'm very glad to hear you are home with your family and that you are well. A big thank you for your service. By the way, a little rubbing compound will take that scratch right out.

I am re-posting this message from your previous thread, where you indicated that you had been injured and were coming home. (Hope you go back and revisit that!) Roland, thanks for all you do and have done! I hope you get(got) a hero's welcome when you came home. As a former Howard, myself, with two Howard brothers who served in the 80s in peacetime, a Howard father and other greats who served, a nephew somewhere over there, a neice who is going back etc., please know how grateful I am! I hope you don't mind, but I sort of consider you family, since you are a Howard. To that end, I am passing on a story from our local paper. My son's girlfriend is the gal who plays taps and wrote the letter. She inheritated the 'taps' job from my older son, when he went off to college. www.imperialrepublican.com/Archivec20186.htmlHope you realize how much support there is for all our Armed Forces in the Heartland and everywhere else. Best wishes!

Welcome home! Thank you for a job well done. Now it's time to unwind and enjoy your family--both immediate and RTH extended.
