My wife and I were sitting at a table at my high school reunion, and I kept staring at a drunken lady swigging her drink as she sat alone at a nearby table.
My wife asks, "Do you know her?"
"Yes," I sighed, "She's my old girlfriend. I understand she took to drinking right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear she hasn't been sober since."
"My God!" says my wife, "Who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?"
So you see, there really are 2 ways to look at everything.

I have not seen anyone I graduated with for almost 45yrs. I deal with enough fuddy duddies as it is. I have seen their brothers and sisters. Wow, how time has rearrainged memories. Especially Big Hair Tina. I heard she is dating Jabba the Hut. No one can tell the difference. Back then, she was the hottie. The ravages of time.

i went to my 30 year reunion in 2004,the only ive been to since graduation,i looked upon many familar faces, but one face was unfamilar,he was in a wheelchair, very emaciated, and looked like he keel over any minute,i asked him his name and was shocked when he answered, for this was OUR OWN CLASS BULLY,this guy tortured, extorted, stole from, beat up,most of guys in our class, not to mention what he did to alot of the girls in our class,i turned away not feeling a bit of pity or remorse,,,,,,but a feeling that there truly was karma,,,ive wanted to vent this for along time

I went to my 10 year reunion in 1981, and I quickly remembered just why I was so happy to get out of high school. They were even bigger jerks than I remembered! I've never looked back since.

blaidd drwg, I graduated in '81 and went to my 10 year reunion in '91. I felt exactly the same as you! But it was kind of funny to see some of the "popular" people looking not so hot, even 10 years later! The guys were balding and had pot bellies, the girls were over-weight and had 4 kids. But they still all hung out with the same "clicks" and still talked about the non-popular kids (though most of them went on to be more successful and got better looking!). I remember going to the bathroom and there they were, gossiping about someone. And when I walked in they shushed for a few seconds, just like they did 10 years earlier. But my highlight of the whole night was when I was walking back from the bathroom.........I had lost a bunch of my "baby weight" and was wearing a mini-skirt and high heels and I walked by a popular jock who had just bought a couple of drinks from the bar............I saw him drop his jaw as he watched me walk by...............he would have never gave me a second glance in high school! It felt good! But, I haven't been to one since, and will not go back either. I think reunions are for the popular kids who want to keep thinking they are!
