Hey guys,
I'm in the process of moving this weekend and my computer is going in to get a mid-life overhaul in the meantime.
For this reason I will probably be off-line for the long weekend at least. I hope to be up and running with a slightly better version of this POS terminal by Monday if all goes well. My hard drive has been throwing little tantrums the past few weeks and it is really starting to wig me out thinking I might lose everything on here.
My plan is to get a new 250GB drive with a fresh install of WinXP (still running W98se) then transfer all the files over and slowly rebuild the content. If I have enough cash, I may also upgrade the CPU and throw another 512M of RAM in it but right now my main concern is taking care of the terminally ill mass storage device and getting up and running again.
If anything needs my attention in the next few days, please send me a PM since I can log in to the site from my cellphone using OperaMini. This can be like trying to suck a goldfish through a straw though so I will only be checking for and reading any PM's I get during the time my PC is offline.
I really start to jones out being without my computer for more than a day or two and to top it off, all my tumblers are now officially shut down and packed up along with almost anything else that might help keep me sane in the meantime.
Oh-ya, for those of you who planned to send me surprise rock packages in the next few days, no worries, send 'em anyway! ;D
I can still pick up any small packages that come to the old house for as long as necessary and I always have larger packages sent to the address i'm moving to for the next 2-? months.
So, I guess I'll see y'all when I get back, hopefully within a few days and a better running system...
