On Saturday afternoon I rode the Harley and Takila rode her scooter out to the Hogs Nest, a Harley bar out in the country for a ice cold alcoholic beverage. We were sipping an ice cold Mikes lemonade when talk in the bar turned to Alpine Valley, a huge music place about 40 miles from us. They were saying Staind and Nickelback were playing, and a couple guys said they had 2 extra tickets they would sell us for $100. We took the offer on spur of the moment, rode home to park her cute little scooter and get out leather jackets.
When we got there on the Harley there must have been 35,000 people already there, but since we were on the Harley, we got to park right up front by the entrance gates with all the other cool lookin Harleys. The show was great, Staind was good as always but Nickelback was excellent! Loud as hell but clear. The lead singer was real cool, interacting with the croud, shooting free stuff out of cannons and then throwing about 4 dozen cups of beer on the people in the front rows.
We had real good seats, where Takila could check out all the hot guys and I could check out the hot chicks.
If you like rock music and have the chance to see Nickelback, do it!
