Near Charleston, SC police have a vehicle pulled over that was driven by two middle eastern (or of middle eastern decent) men and they have found explosives in the vehicle. They've got some roads closed off but I can't remember which ones.
Hwy 176 and Meyers Road near Goose Creek.

I looked on MSN for the story, but I don't see anything... maybe they don't post news on the weekend??? I thought it would be a big headline.

Doesn't sound like it was much of a device...
S.C. Police Detain 2 for Suspicious Item By BRUCE SMITH, Associated Press Writer
4 hours ago
GOOSE CREEK, S.C. - Two men were detained after police found a suspicious item in their car during a routine traffic stop for speeding near Charleston, authorities said Sunday.
Berkeley County sheriff's Lt. Vince Lombard said the men were being held pending a charge of unlawful possession of an explosive device.
Lombard would not say what the device was or what it was that bomb technicians from neighboring Charleston County exploded at about 2:45 a.m. Sunday.
The item made a loud bang, similar to a firecracker, when it was demolished, authorities said.
U.S. Highway 176 was closed at about 7 p.m. Saturday and federal officials later said there was "no immediate threat."
Goose Creek is home to the Naval Weapons Station, which houses the U.S. Naval Consolidated Brig, a military prison where enemy combatants have been held. The traffic stop took place about 7 miles from the sprawling Navy facility.
The car was heading west, away from Goose Creek, when it was pulled over about 7 miles from the sprawling Navy facility, Lombard said.
Goose Creek, with a population of about 30,000, is located about 20 miles north of Charleston.

yea lets give out some more visa's so they can spread out even more --- and yes i also believe anyone that has come from mid east country's should be watched and checked on a daily basis yes its profiling but i don't see any other nations sending bombers over here to kill us I'm sorry i say send them all home till we get a handle on this whole terrorist thing if there not here they cant kill us and theres no way to know who is who good or bad -- so why take a chance

If we didn't have intelligence, we would not evaluate others. Alas, we have intelligence and will always make value judgements; that's part of what makes us human and sit atop the food chain in this world. So let's not rush to judgement and condemn those who react to suspicious people of a certain ethnicity or religion. csroc
