Hi, all! Tomorrow morning we will head for the Greek island we decided to go in the vacation. This island is Lesbos (Lesvos). I didn't want to hear about any other island this year. Why? Take a look here and you'll understand immediately : www.lesvos.com/petrifiedforest.htmlFirst, we were not sure about getting there, because from Athens it's a 12 hours sailing trip and both me and my daughter have sea-sick. But we discovered a route via Turkey, which is shorter and the ship crossing is just 1 hour. So, see you in about two weeks, I hope I'll be able to post some interesting pics from there when I'll return. Adrian

Have a great trip Adrian! Looks like you're going to have some amazing pictures for us! Don't know how much sailing you do - but there's something called a Relief Band that is used for sea-sickness that really seems to work. We went on a whale watching cruise off the coast of California a few years ago - Melissa get sea sick fairly easily and didn't want to risk so we rented one of these (offered by the boat owners) and it really helped - there were lots of green (sick! ) people who hadn't rented one of these at the back of the boat as the day wore on - but she was fine. It works by sending an electrical pulse to stimulate nerves right against the inside of your wrist. Barely noticeable, wear it like a watch - and seemed to do the trick. I believe these also work for nausea due to pregnancy, chemo treatments, etc. Just fyi - don't know that you have a big enough need for one - I think they run a little over $100 - but are reusable. Won't help you much for this trip - but maybe something to keep in mind for future trips. Anyway - have a safe and picturesque trip!

You're right, Snowdog, there were some dancers a couple of nights ago, but didn't see/smell/drink any beer! I think all my sences were still focused on the pet wood I've seen. Adrian

Hi everyone!
Was it yesterday when I wrote the lines above saying good bye to you, folks? To me it seems so! I'm back, it was wonderful, I saw the petrified forest, the beaches and the weather were fine. I'm very tired now and the house is full of unpacked, packed and half-packed things.
I'll be back here tomorrow with pictures and in a few days with a contest about my vacation. So stay tuned!
Adrian

Glad to hear you enjoyed your vacation. I've heard a lot about fires in Greece on the news here, hope they didn't cause any problems for you. Looking forward to the pictures!
