ok i am really tired of the sweating. i don't particularly care for the cold weather but this is ridiculous. you get a bath and step outside only to feel like you need to head right back for another bath.
it looks like fall outside because all the trees are dropping their leaves and the grass is dead. on the news yesterday they said 11 people died due to the heat in memphis.
we need rain and for the temp to drop to at least the 90's. are y'all this hot?

Yes Ma'am... not so bad this week but last week it got up to 104* real temperature... couldn't tell you what the heat index was but it had to be over 110*.
We're sort of used to it here and most are very carefull to drink plenty of water but we still get lots of heat related deaths every summer.
Please folks, if you're not used to this kind of heat be very careful out there. Heat stroke can hit you like a ton of bricks really fast and can make you very sick or dead.

Yes It will. I got overheated mowing the lawn last Sunday and got sick for 2 days. Horrible feeling. Thing is, I didn't really feel that hot. I jumped in the pool everytime I thought I needed to. But it still got me. Everyone needs to stay cool and be careful out there. Tonja

Oh Yeah! It's hot as the devil here too.
I got overheated last Sunday too. I was cutting slabs on the WF and stayed out too long. I felt really bad all that evening. Had to keep laying down. I thought I was ok while I was out there. Drank a ton of water but I guess not enough.
Just goes to show even when you think you're being careful it can still get ya.

We finally got a bit of a break in the heat this week, it dropped down to around 70° ... now if we could only get rain. Our trees are dropping leaves too Kim, it's really sad. And the gardens ... nothings growing. We are in extreme fire danger and the bans are in full force with continual plane surveillance to watch for fires.

Okay you must be getting this global warming everyone's talking about - here it's down to about 8 degrees above freezing - I think my pool is gonna freeze - with the solar blanket on it, we've been able to keep it at about 76ish - the outside temp is colder than that now!
A little colder and I think we'd get snow!

It's been raining here since Friday and will continue everyday this next week. Today the temp didn't even hit 70 and Monday our high will only be 66.

Yep, we've had it warm and muggy, then it jumps to Fall weather in a matter of one day. But that's how it always is in Wisconsin. At our County Fair this weekend, they had to cancel the demo derby! And my daughter had to use an umbrella at an outdoor wedding on Sat. You gotta love it!

This morning it was in the high 70s here--ah, how lovely...except the humidity was 94%. Now the humidity has dropped to a mere 51%--ah, how lovely...except the temp has gone up to 94, the heat index is at 104, and the expected thunderstorms later today will just re-establish the whole pattern for tomorrow. In this part of the country we only have three seasons--full summer, fall-summer, and spring-summer. As soon as it cools down into the 60s for a few minutes around Christmas, we all start running around in the sweaters and hats our Northern relatives keep sending us. Then after about five minutes, we go back to wearing our shorts and tank tops. "D

I've got nuthin to complain about this side, not going to get blasted by a hurricane, toasted in a heatwave, or frozen in an icewave. But if the damn drizzle doesn't break soon, I may get trench foot! Whatever the weather where you are - stay safe, that's normally hats and drinks - hot or cold as appropriate Cheers All, Harry.
