Sometimes we wonder where did an author ever get the idea for that story? Aesop wrote so many wonderful fables about animals. If he were alive today, he might want to write a story about this very unlikely pair. elisahatigan.wordpress.com/tag/animals/
Enjoy.

Ahhh, the little 'po is a real sweetie, those tortoise are awesome too, it's difficult to guage how big the chappy is, what a lovely story, thanks BB. Those hippos sure do make a funny noise, if you've ever been close - they sound as strange as they look.
Cheers, Harry.

But now ask the beasts, and they will teach you; And the birds of the air, and they will tell you; Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you; And the fish of the sea will explain to you. john

That's really neat! It's shows that if a tortoise and a baby hippo can get along, then we humans should be able to do that!

That's really neat! It's shows that if a tortoise and a baby hippo can get along, then we humans should be able to do that! Have you ever noticed how little, little children and much, much older adults seem to be able to get along better than closer-in-age humans can? What do they know that we don't--or have temporarily forgotten? Lady B

My belief is that children are still innocent and learning and have no prejudices, while older adults have went through it all and realized it isn't worth it.
