I'm almost done tumbling my first batch and was wondering what people do with the rocks once they're done. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Jewlery, keychains, give them away to friends and kids,... I'm trying to sell my jewlery. Mostly, at this point, I make gifts. What are you going to do?

I'm thinking about putting them in a fishbowl with a beta.

I give many of mine away. Being an educator I give them away to kids as rewards for good behavior, good grades, just because, or any other number of reasons. I also keep them in different containers. Many times while watching TV, I will place them in a bowl and just run my hands through them. I also place a few in my pockets and then pull them out and play with them. Sort of like worry stones.

I give the transparent / translucent ones to my son to put in his wooden treasure chest.

Jewelry, presents, play with them. Carry them in my pockets, I just love the feel of the polished stones. They also look nice laying on top of the soil in houseplants.

Hi Tex, Mostly I put my stones in jars or vases through the house. They're everywhere. My friend's kids love them. I try to make jewelry to some degree, but mostly pins and barrettes. I also paint. Cher & her sister inspired me to try to incorporate them in my paintings.
Also, like Condor and Cookie, I like to feel them. I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one! Apparently we're all a little loopy.

Click on the link below and you will see just one of the things I do with my tumbled rocks. andy321.proboards16.com/index.cgi?board=Pictures&action=display&thread=1109357155I also wrap alot of my medium size rocks, and I have sold some of my stones loose. Right now when they are done I seperate them so when I do set up a booth at ren faires so people can pick the stone they want wrapped. It usually takes me about 30 to 45 minutes to wrap a stone.

Hey Texasrock,
I generally give mine away to the kids at various craft shows that we do in our regoin of the U.S. (Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Colorado).
I have even swallowed one once to see if I would pass it ... yea, I know it was a stupid thing to do ... but when someone double dog dares you and you are 9 years old ... you can't pass that up! I guess I gave the worm I swallowed (the week before) a place to rest ;D
Enjoy,
John

Mostly buy Glass Jars or Candy Dishes and display them....I had a local rock shop glue end caps on a dozen of my nicest rocks for pendents as extra Christmas gifts with a personal touch. My wife and I bought a small submersable pump and a big ceramic dish and made a water fountain. love the sound. csroc

After months of changing grit and washing stones-let alone the cost of the procedure--bury the stones in the ground in hopes that some future exprorer will dig them up and think they have found treasures..
