I cant figure out how one family could have such bad luck in a two week period.
My husband was in an accident on his motorcycle a couple of weeks ago. He's ok but is off work for a few weeks because of whiplash and is going through some therapy. He had stopped at a crosswalk for a pedestrian and was rear ended when another vehicle didnt stop.
Last week, my 17 year old sister was riding with a friend to school and they were in a car accident. No one was hurt but if they would have pulled out just a couple of seconds earlier, the other vehicle would have t-boned the passenger side right where my sister was sitting. They were in a little car, the other vehicle was a pickup. It could have been bad.
Phone call early this morning. It was my mom saying that my 20 year old brother was in a 50 mph head-on collision on his way home from work last night. At this point we dont know what happened. The officer said he wasnt citing anyone and it was just an unfortunate accident. My brother managed to crawl out of his blazer through the window. He is pretty beat up, has a cast on his arm and had to have chest x rays for possible injuries. The hospital allowed him to come home with some heavy meds and instructions to come right back if anything gets worse. His face is black and blue from the air bags. The other guys in the other vehicle werent so lucky. My brother managed to get to their car to see if they were ok. They were pinned inside their vehicle.......screaming. They are both in intensive care and one of them has a broken neck among other injuries. My little bro is pretty much in a state of shock and feeling guilty that he is ok when the others are not. I cant believe the hospital didnt keep him for observation. They all told him they couldnt believe he walked away from that accident.
All of these car accidents are really freaking me out.
