Yesterday I was contacted by the premier art gallery in our city. They are having a fine crafts show during the Christmas season and they really want to exhibit my woodturnings at this show. This is a great opportunity for me. Not only is this a good well established gallery but Christmas season is a big deal in our town. They put up Christmas trees with lights on every light pole and have tour busses coming into town every night. Of course what would you expect from a place named Bethlehem. So not only do I get to sell my turnings in a high priced gallery I get to do it when all the tourists are in town with their fat wallets. I can smell the rocks I'm gonna buy right now. ;D Tony M
P.S. no offense meant if your are one of the fat walleted tourists.

Tony,
What fantastic news!!! Hope your exhibit brings all the attention (and the fat-walleted tourists) you so rightly deserve!
Congratulations!

May all the tourists have the wallets at least as fat as the vase from your new avatar (that, of course, before leaving your shop) ;D
WTG, you diserve this recognition! I've visited your site and saw a lot of beauties there. I can't stop wondering how would look something made by you from pet wood

Tony, I went to our county fair last weekend, in the arts & crafts bldg they had a display of woodturning. There were two men demonstrating how they do it. It was fascinating! I must have stood there for 30 minutes watching them create a vase. After watching them, I have huge respect for your talent!! Good luck at your show!!

Put some rocks in a few bowls, maybe you'll start selling those, too!

Thanks all. I'm acutally in the process of updating my website for the first time in 2 years. I have about two dozen pieces that I will be adding one I have the rest of them photographed. Adrian, the hollow vessel in my avatar isn't that fat. Its twice as tall as wide, it just shows up fat here.
