if it turns out 1 person here is on the list...could be a life saver for sure. some one this morning was posting ebay account and credit card info on an ebay board....over a thousand of them before ebay had to shut down the whole board to stop it....have seen this before on a smaller scale....never this large or so many numbers....this is the first time the 3 digit credit card numbers have been hacked and posted also. a lot of threads are being pulled as soon they are started about this topic...read the first couple of pages for sure here.....then read post 289 on page 8. forums.ebay.com/db2/thread.jspa?threadID=1000565444&start=280partial list of ids shown here....it maybe updated to show more ids www.shenemanfamily.com/comp.html |

My name isn't on the list, but that doesn't mean anything. This is the second time that I know of this has happened. eBay is on the ball! Second rate security system (evidently) and then when it happens, delete all post concerning it and don't tell any of the users about it. WTG!

i aint got no clue if anyone we know is on that list ;D....sorry if it came out like that...just thought all might wanna check.
i did see a couple that had ROCK in the name.....and 1 that had EMERALD in the name......i thunk.....figured i would post the info best i could....so all could check anyway.
this dude that does this stuff is kind of a screwed up icon....he signs his stuff also....which was done in this case...he signed each post with the sig...VLADUZ...just google that name.
this stuff is pretty bad...especially when my son was waiting on the next VLADUZ attack.....he was actually waiting on it....seems a lot of people were from what i could tell from listening to him tell it.
but in any case i think its totally screwed up....kev.

This was mentioned dozens of times before but I'll say it here just to get it out. Just because you were not on a list of 900 names that were posted before EvilBay shut the forum down does not necessarilly mean that was the whole list of accounts that were hacked. The full list may well be 10000 or 1000000 names for all anyone knows. I haven't had an EvilBay account since 2001 so I KNOW my name and credit card number will not be on any amount of data lists hacked by anyone from EvilBay. This is the only way you will probably ever know that your account has not been hacked. Do you really think EvilBay will TELL ALL of it's customers with cc#'s on file to cancel their cards and create new accounts because they themselves are not fully aware of the scope of the "alleged hacking".  |
