I have the newer model which is electric. The wire goes down the center of the screw so the shock gets to the "heart" of things.

You only use it if the cat starts squirming around and only give it a couple of zaps.I tried it out on my neighbors cat and "whacked" it too many times,,,,Peeeeeeewwwwww!!You could smell the burning hair everywhere!!!

Ps:Another good way to occupy yourself with cats is to duct tape their tails together and fling them over a clothes line!!! Yeeeeeee Hawwwwww!!! Them stupid things tear each other up like there's no tomorrow,,,,,,,,,and what a racket they make!!!!

I don't want to say because I'm on a roll here and nobody has yelled at me in a while. I'd like to see how long I can keep it that way.

What do you mean "when we were younger"?

Heck I'm 63 and still love a good cat toss over the clothes line!

The kids today are spoiled rotten and won't take the time to catch 2 cats and find duct tape or a clothes line for that matter.
All they do now is put one of the aluminum hats on a kitten and toss it in the micro wave for a minute or so!!
