boy is she mad right now....i have been trying to save every penny lately any way i can...just to set this up...she refuses to eat any chicken unless it is breasts...nothing else...no exceptions.......so heres what happened tonight.
for the last few months i have been fixin simple egg noodles..cream of chicken soup...and boiled chicken and vegetables and using chicken leg quarters for the meat to go in it...and not telling ;D...yes i used to use just all breast....but hey i been saving money...right ;D.
but tonight i had 1 peice i didnt use....figured i had enough for the noodles and the other peice little brother could eat for lunch tommorow....but i left the peice and the peices of bone where i shucked the others on the cutting board....and she seen it...and put it all together....shes been eating dark chicken.
now shes pissed...she knew i was buying leg quarters....cause me my son and little brother eat it all...she just didnt know she was eating it ;D....its just something in her little crazy mind right?...i should have just let her be pissed and see if it would blow over...but i had to say.....been good all along aint it ;D...i wasnt doing to much wrong?...i dont think....or was i?...kev.

Kev, are you doing all the cooking? If that's the case, I'm sorry but I'd be telling her to cook it herself if she doesn't like what you're cooking. Besides, in soups and stews it doesn't make any difference anyway.

Yes...it's stupid. But the husband also gets a little torqued when I sneak one in on him too.

Mmmmm, dark meat chicken. Legs & thighs with lots of crispy skin. And dont forget to crunch on the wing tips, them's the best part.
I agree with Cher.......if you are cooking and she is complaining, hand her the spoon and say there ya go honey, the kitchen's all yer's.

Around here, I'm the only one who eats the thighs. My wife and two sons eat the Breasts and we all like the legs and wings. I think the Thighs are best and breast is worst for flavor but breast is the best looking food.

Really, if she's that uptight about eating dark meat then by all means allow her to have full control over the content of her diet by preparing and cooking ALL OF HER OWN MEALS. ;D

yaw...she aint never cooked a meal in her life...not in the last 20 years anyway...i do all of the cooking...always have...she has fixed a sandwich ;D.
if i told her to fix it herself....id go broke on her eating out every day ;D...yep i prefer homemade fried legs and thighs myself...and cher thats what i thought...made no taste diff in soups or stews either....she couldnt tell either ;D...gotta go cook now ;D..kev.

in our house, hubby is the better cook. i cook sometimes, but his food is better. he cooks, i eat what he makes and then i clean the dishes. works for us. having said that i prefer white meat chicken, i think it's a texture thing. but i like duck and that is all dark meat, so who knows? i think what grosses people (including me) out about the thigh and leg cuts is all the "other" stuff  that you have to pick through to get at the meat. but if you are taking the nasty bits out, Kev, she shouldn't complain (too much!!!). you are a good man, Kev, keep on cookin'! K.D. hit it on the head...i finally found out today....she does not like the tidbits found in the thighs and legs ;D...hell...i thought that was the good parts ;D....she dont think so ;D.
she did say ...she will give it another try....as long as i aint screwing around...and adding tidbits ;D....she better not turn her head ;D....just kidding ;D....i didnt anyway ;D.....kev.
