There is a show on A&E, Dog the Bounty Hunter, that I really enjoy. It is the classic tale of good, evil and redemption. A morality play in every show.
Unfortunately, he got caught in a racial diatribe, (making it even worse it was) about his son's girlfriend. His son taped the DOG, turned it over to the Enquirer; I guess his show is toast. (I guess it didn't help that he helped send his son to jail for a few years)
In any event, there is no doubt that DOG was racist but getting caught usually teaches a lesson that no words can. DOG does a lot a good and helps out lots of criminals; setting them on the straight and narrow path. He is a beloved figure and I'm wondering if there is a chance for his return.
I guess Imus may be making a return to radio. Is that true or false? If it's true, can the DOG be far behind? csroc

You know .. I never did like that show.. for one reason.. and it wasn't his waredrobe.. it was the idea of their self righteous attitude they had, and how they looked down on everyone who wasn't so perfect in the laws eyes.. but.... putting criminals on the right track?? Come on.. even jesus didn't force redemtion on anyone...... I guess karma just caught up with him. Sooner or later it does with everyone..since every one isn't perfect.that's what i think.... but I never thought of him as a racist... but I did think he was fake. if it does make a comeback , which I doubt, it may be some sort of spinoff show from it... at the least .......

Roxy, Surprised you feel that he had a self righteous attitude. He prayed to Jesus before every bounty hunt and gave the credit to Jesus. He pointed out that he was a criminal, had done bad things in his times and was no better than any of the people he captured but Jesus had changed his life. Phony? perhaps he was, but he seemed pretty credible to me.

Why pray to catch a criminal? I didn't think Jesus was into the whole find catch and seize and punish thing.. So to that I don't understand why give him credit for something he didn't approve of.. otherwise the story of the whore would of ended differently. I just think he forgot where he came from.. if he had a criminal background .. I highly doubt it..but if he says so.. so be it.. I would be more understanding then.. or... Maybe that's where I stand alone .. My idea of a perfect society is so far out there it's hard to imagine life without the need for govt. police or any other type or need for authority.. I read a great man once said " who shall guard the savage? but the MORE savage!".. referring to the first prison system , and to which I consider any of those in authority today..... (look at our politicians) Either way, I wish no bad on his family , and mean no harm in here.. and hope i didn't offend you in any way.. wasn't my intentions.. I just think this world would be a better place without T.v period.. lol..

I'm right here! csroc, when I read your headline, I thought you were talking about me... earth-DOG. I like the show also, we did Tivo it every week.
He does have a criminal background. They even had a show where they told his life story and where he visited the prison he was in.

I always doubt both the motives, and accuracy of most "real life dramas". Here is a little tidbit. A criminal cannot get a liscence for skip tracing. If someone has a criminal background and is involved in a trace, it will get thrown out of court. That is one of those little old laws that somehow never got changed. I have not watched anything on A&E in a long time. Their programming always has the social control slant, even in small ways. Even a declaration of Posse comitatus is overruled if the individual has a criminal background. Something about "When the cops break the law, there is no law only anarchy".

I loved watching Dog. He entertained the crap outta me! His family is like a million other families I see every day that walk in & out of my bar. I guess most people would consider them white trash with their looks but I saw just a family that found a bit of fortune becasue they got lucky & someone decided to put them on TV. But...like Imus, he made a really stupid out loud remark & someone nailed him for it. It really is true...the bigger they are, the harder they fall. I've said stupid things. If anyone out there says they haven't, they're a liar. I've said things out loud and had to apologize for being an idiot. I can guarantee before I die, I'll do it again even though I'm not a mean person. I'm human and I'm sooooo far from being perfect I can't stand it. Whether or not his show ever gets back on track, well that's up to the people that run the network and the outcry that may happen should they try. If we never see him again...hey...he had a good run while it lasted. Just remember kids, he was no better and no worse than any other human on this planet.

I'm sorry, but I thought that I still have the right to be self-righteous, bigoted and racist. I hope that I am not, but I think I still have the right to be. And what happened to freedom of speech? Guess it worked against the Dog. So, what, now we have to consider all of our words spoken in anger to our children? Well, I guess I am dead meat. Personally, I find the whole thing ridiculous.

I cannot believe that I watch 'Dog'!! The guy is bigger than life, for heaven's sake, he's a CARTOON!!!!!!!! The guy is hilarious. And Beth's boobs, oh my god, what does she have those things for??!!!! Who'd want to lug those around on a daily basis!? And all the 'Jesus' stuff---oh boy, that's special. Dog is like a traffic wreck---you can't NOT watch him. I love that show. He'll be back, just as Imus is. And---from what I know, he really is a 'self-made man'. Somehow pulled himself up by the bootstraps, for a guy who was in prison for murder and drugs, cripes, he's a multi-millionairre based on nothing more than guts and drive. Ya' gotta admire that, even if the guy is an idiot. But I really do miss the show. And Leeland is a hottie----- Hah!!!!!

I do agree with you karenfh. We all have the right to be boners if we want to .. And as far as freedom of speech goes.. well guess it just goes to show you how far you can go when you're suppose to be a T.v star/Christian Bounty Hunter/Role Model... That's alot to carry for anybody.. and I do applaud his effort in catching fugitives.. and making this world a much brighter place..Yaay.. Anyway.. Being in the spotlight just gives the whole ( itchin to find fault thing) A much easier target.. I myself am guilty of passing judgment . I thought of Him as fake, I didn't buy the whole redeemed criminal now christian thing.. it being a " real life drama" show I just didn't see him as either one of those.nor did i see the documentary show on him . I didn't like the whole prayer thing. I'm not against christians ..but Cops and Christians.. ?? Come on...For Real?? I dunno about that .... lol jks.. Either way I guess it goes to show, Nobody is safe when it comes to the public eye....or Karma...

E, you're right. I thought Martha would be toast but she's back stronger than ever.
We forget that TV is entertainment. The average person turns it on to be able to escape from whatever garbage is going on in their life. It's not here to show us the way...to fix all our problems or make us have the perfect life. (que the music for "That's Entertainment!")
As for Beths chest? You men crack me up! Believe me brudda...if you carried dem round ebry day, you be cranky & tell us wifes ya need a backrub.
