Haven't been around much but mine too is a long story beginning last spring with my mom being diagnosed with cancer again. Mom started chemo August 1st and up until last month was doing good. They took her off of chemo last week as her blood pressure's been going out of control and an infection set in ... not good when your immune system is compromised. She still has four more treatments which they'll pick up on after the holidays. I'm so worried, I don't know if she can handle this. We don't really know what's up but he's got some serious liver problems so we're afraid what this may mean.
I know too, she's going to want me to take her to the hospital to see him. I can't very well tell her she can't do that but I'm worried about her going into that environment right now.
Any prayers, good thoughts, good vibes, light a candle anything .... I know how strong the power of prayer is so am asking that you add my brother Bennett to your prayer lists. We've already lost two since October, I'm afraid this would be just too much for my mom.

You and your family will be in our thoughts Cher - don't forget to take care of yourself too - it's easy to forget with so much else going on. Keep us in mind too if you need to vent or unload, I'm finally starting to understand what that's worth and how much it can help.

Hang in there Cher...as tough as it may seem right now, it could and probably will get worse. Don't forget to take a little down time for yourself too. You will need all the engery you can get.
Keeping you and your entire family in our thoughts and prayers. Putting in a few extra rocks into the tumbler to help make more noise....

Thank you so much for all your good thoughts and prayers. We got news today, my brother's liver is not in very good shape at all but the doctors told him it's not completely shot. With medication and (here's the big one) he will have to quit drinking but he can have a good life. He's got to decide how important it is to walk his daughter down the aisle this summer and to be here to see his first grandchild. Hopefully all of this will be enough to give him the strength he needs.
It wasn't just the drinking, he has hepatitis C so had two strikes against him. He's very lucky that there's medication to help him combat this.
You guys make me cry but they are good tears. Thank you again and God bless all of you and your families. You all are so very very special!
