Has anyone done the HighGrow freeware program? I tried it a few years ago but now it looks like they made it better. www.highgrow.us/index.php

Haha yeah, I remember that. It's like a Tamagotchi for wanna-be pot growers. My brother downloaded it onto one of my older systems and I think he managed to kill all three of his plants within 3-weeks. ;D Somebody should make one of those for rock tumbling, I would if i had any idea how.

I thought a couple years ago someone talked about making a program for tumbling.. I'll tell ya in the tip section it's very informative for growing. All 3 of my plants right now have a good health and have been growing for 36 days.

I thought a couple years ago someone talked about making a program for tumbling... Yeah that was me. I thought it might be possible to write a virtual tumbling simulator somewhere along those lines. There would have to be more variables and algorithms and what-nots involved to write a program that faithfully aproximates what really happens in a tumbler. It might be a worthy challenge for someone working on a computer sciences degree but it's a tad out of range for me, I studied as a hardware electronics tech. Not sure if any virtual tumbler no matter how well written and interactive it is, could have the "fun factor" required to catch on like Highgrow aparently did... I had no idea there was a new version out, 4.20 sounds like a lucky number to me but I wouldn't really know because I only tried the oldschool Highgrow for a few months back in the days when it was first catching on but I swear i'm off it now. ;D

I remember you talking about that LCARS and I still think it is a cool idea. You could even set the tumbler up to be a screen saver. The tumbler could have a "windowed" section on the barrell so you could see your batch sloshing around in the screen saver.
I ran Highgrow for a few months too. It is interesting, after awhile though I set it on auto-pilot because I was too "virtually" lazy to tend to my plants!

Chitt, guess I should have read this better or looked at the link before I asked my son if he wanted a virtual garden! Rotflmao He looked at it and said, " uh, Mom, you really want me to do this?". OMG sometimes I scare myself! T
