After a winter of cold, rainy weather and not being able to be outside to cut rocks, rock cutting day is FINALLY here! Looks like we are in store for one of those fabulous Texas days - 80 degrees and lots of sun! Has been a really nice week, sunshine every day and now we are actually having a nice weekend. We went for SIX weekends with rain - and most of those weekdays were rainy too! Talk about depressing!
Gonna take alot more days like this to get all my rocks cut! Probably have at least 50 lbs in boxes here at the house and another 30+ at BE's in a 5 gallon bucket!
Got the Super Cut blade I ordered from Graves (nice blade) and one of those Jorgenson clamps like MichRocks has, so I am ready to go!
Also have finally decided on a home based business that I think I will really enjoy and can use my rocks!!
Today, I'll be a rock cuttin' fool!
I also have an order to make a matching hat band, boot bracelet and earrings for a lady here at the RV park. She's a Red Hat Society lady and wants them made of red and purple. Had to order some beads, shoud be here early next week. Am excited to get started on that. It will be my first sale!

Sigh...it's yet another day of shovelling out the driveway here. Rock cutting sounds WAY better.

LOL! llana "GASP" Llana you are such an evil brat ... I'm seeing your horns sprouting there, don't let them get too close to that saw blade. *smile*. I'm with Herm on the drepression of yet geting to shovel another day, fortunately it's not too awful much and the sun is shining brightly. On the bad side of the sunshine, it was -8° freaking below this morning. I bet I'd win if we really wanted to discuss gloomy weather. ;D Have fun cutting and be careful. Cher

Hello Llana,
I know what you mean ... we hit 81 degrees today ;D
I didn't get much accomplished in the yard ... but I was able to cut some rough today.
My son stopped in and visited for a while and we played darts while cutting rough (I have a dart board in my rock shop - never had one before ... it is quite a challenge). My son started to get mouthy ... so we played for a quarter (who ever got the highest score by throwing one dart) and I was able to get an extra 1.75 when everything was said and done with ... Oh yea ... I will put it into the rock fund.
Snowbirds ... spring is coming ... I will send you some nice weather ... it may take a while though ... but, hang in there .. it's coming!
John
