Here's a couple of examples of the Flower Garden agate that can be found at the Woodward Ranch. These small chunks were collected at the 1st annual RTH Woodward Ranch Blitz in 2007. The ID has been confirmed by the RTH resident expert Mel (Sabre52) and closely matches a picture of Flower Garden on the WWR web site: (scroll down the page to see the pic) www.woodwardranch.net/texascoop2004.htmlHere's the first one I found at the Blitz Here's the second one.. notice that it has more of a Jasper look... under a magnifying glass you can see it is just more tightly packed moss & plume... according to Mel, FG agate varies in density. I hope to find more of this next year now that I know exactly what I'm looking for! Jan tells me she sells it for $15.00 per lb in the WWR rock shop! Thanks, Dan

Actually some of my best stuff was found hunting areas where other people had just walked through You couldn't pick that place clean with a thousand people in a thousand years...

HEHHEHEHEHE Well My mind left for the trip last Friday- When I opened the box (I just hope it's not lost- cause I would hate to Lose my Mind) I have been putting together a checklist of things for the trip (like remember to take home the tent after camping season) and have really been studying the material so I know what to look for!!!
