Oh Missed the request for values- Jade- Well it is kinda pricy- I've seen slabs from $2 on up into the $100's -just depends on the type, location, and showiness of the slab Pet Wood- 1 to 2 per slab of the common stuff- Rutilated Quartz- Well it ranges depending on quality- the stuff you got there looks pretty dang good- and should fetch a good price- I have seen it for $10/ Lb (for that quality)

Hey, thanks for all the info fellas. Some of this stuff looks really strange. I found what appears to be an obsidian with spot grey inclusions in it. Camera is gone with wife so no pic Anyway, thanks for the help.

The obsidian your talking about is probably snowflake obsidian, not too much of it is really transparent but the grayish white specks do look a lot like tiny snowflakes. that is a great piece of rutilated quartz you have there, I love that stuff and its kinda hard to find.

Well KD .. the problems I see with selling stuff to people on this board are as follows. I know Zilch about rocks, specimens, whatever you want to call them. So I post and ask questions. So what would happen if I told a guy I would sell him a piece for a good price, then when he got it he discovered it was not what he expected. Not necessarily because I tried to rip him off, but because I didn't know any better. These boards are where I hope to meet a lot of good people and where I hope to get info regarding this new hobby for perhaps years to come. I really don't want to screw that up. The only way I would sell any of the stuff I have to a forum member here would be to get their address and just ship it to them. Then they could send me what they thought it was worth to them. I know, it sounds kind of funny to do it like that, but at the present time I don't know the values at all. So I can't sell something at a set price and feel good about it. If you want that quartz just send me your address and it will be on the way, I am sure we will square it up someday.
