Another late reply from a new member.
Definately an agate. I've found similar veins of agate, in AZ, that immediately resembles Chinle formation petrified wood (in colors) except that they are obviously agate seams and NOT wood. So, could be either petwood or a block out of a large seam. Does the end show any kind of tree-ring structure (not that that would be 100% accurate but...)?
