I do not know what it is, but it is pretty. Nice job on the cabs. Daniel

I think I have some of the same stone (pic below). Unfortunately, I do not know what it is either. I got mine from Jamie (Desertdweller). Maybe she will see this thread, or you might want to send her a message directing her here. I believe she collects this material herself in Arizona. I'm trying to tumble it, and having a very hard time because the white areas are so much softer than the rest. -Don

I changed the title. Maybe she will see it. I'm curious. I saw this material at a craft show in NJ last weekend, and was calling it Scared Buffalo or White Turquoise. I don't think it is white turquoise, but I am now really curious.

Beef, thanks for the ID. I googled some pastelite pics, and looks like you nailed it! -Don

Just a little late huh? Sorry guys, I have been racing around trying to get ready to go on a short vacation. Yep, Beef is correct. Its brecciated Pastelite, not sure if you even need to verify the brecciated part but thats a habit I have. You did a great job with the cabs and I don't see anything wrong with what you have in the picture Don, is it pitting on you? The stuff I cut polished up really nice but I know what you mean about the different hardnesses, that can be really frustrating. I really like the stuff, I know some of the pieces I collected had some mauve and wine colors in them, it reminds me of the figures you used to be able to buy at the airport or at Hallmark stores that had tiny chips of rocks that were added to liquid glass and then poured in to molds. Anyone else remember those? I think I even have one still. Thanks for the help Beef, sorry I didn't see this sooner.
