I bought the other half of the top one a few weeks ago and now have both, I just liked the colors in the bottom one. No clue on either though. Shown dry Thanks for any help. Spike

Wow! Top one looks like some kind of wonderstone/rhyolite but that red and black one I have no clue on but it is a honey. Great color combination in that piece!

I agree that the top one looks to be wonderstone. The bottom really appears to be a type of India fancy jasper...possibly Jafar Jasper.

Thanks guys, I cabbed them today (can't post the pics due to internet problems, am barely on now) they both surprised me a lot, very stable both of them, I expected trouble with the bottom one.
Yeah I thought Wonder stone for the top but it did not feel right (to the touch) and when I cabbed it I was getting a shine just off the 1200 belt that turned out to rival any other cab before when it was done.
I will look up the Jasper types you mentioned Stones, it is Jasper of some kind I am sure.
After working them I am head over heals with both, glad I have decent chunks left.

I was thinking wonderstone/hycrite and fancy jasper too. The one that looks like fancy jasper does seem more grainy than others I have seen; so it may be something else. Both are very nice.

I'm gonna have to go with fancy jasper for the bottom one also. It does not look very dissimillar from a type of fancy jasper that I find on certain beaches here.

That bottom piece looks like it is either quartz based or opalized, it sure is shiny for being a jasper?
