I still want to pick your brains! Again, all rough. These two were taken with the stone wet. The dark stone, is that jade also? This is of the orangey, glassy ones wet. Any ideas?? Thanks again for all your help. This is a really great group of people here!! Garry

Hi garry and welcome! The orange looks like carnelian to me. Sorry I can't help you with the green. Daniel

garry, sorry but the photos do not show enough detail to give a acurate reply to your whatsits.I agree that the amber colored material could be carnelian. The green stone with it is characteristic of jade. The stone in your first photo, well hmmm, looks like the light areas are pink to me.....possibly Wrightwood rhodonite.

Hmmm. I'd agree on the carnelian. If the top one is green and pink as it shows on my screen, I'd say that's thulite. Lots of green and pink comes from California, Wyoming and Washington if I'm remembering right.....Mel
