I am tumbling a pound of mine run emeralds, and they don't look too bad, except most of the better stones are pea sized and smaller.
Is there a way to make a wire cage to hold a couple of the smaller stones?

You know, I bet I could make that work, or at least think of a way to modify a bit so that it would work.
Thanks, Tweetiepy!

There are also those round looking ones that are in my wire wrapping books. Do you know the kind I am talking about? They look really easy to make as well.

Debs are you talking about the spiral cages? I'm not sure how well those would hold up since they're like flimsy springs.... I wondered about those too!

I found a spiral cage for a bead in my "Creating Wire and Beaded Jewelry" book by Linda Jones. That's about all the larger some of these emeralds are anyway. Looks like it might work.
Tweetie, that website you posted here was da bomb! I got lots of good ideas, and I ordered my wire this morning.
