This is my first wrap that did not beg to be cut apart! I tried to do it again, so far no luck...

Very nice Karen, that's the wire sculpting style of Preston Ruether isn't it? Did you get the videos for it? What's the stone?

It is the Preston Ruether Wire Sculpture. I got the basic set as a gift. The DVDs are not bad, but in my opinion, they are too expensive for what they contain, and its not nearly as easy as he says it is! I can make copies of the DVDs at work. Anyone interested?
I have no idea what the stone is. I bought a scoopful of mixed stones at the last rock show I went to for $2.00. They are all this size or smaller, I only know what about half of them are.

Wow Karen, that's a nice gift to get. I've never seen them but there's a few here who are doing the wire sculpture. I don't know if I could, I have a really hard time with the larger curls in the wire, they just never look right to me. Keep on practicing, you'll get to where it's a breeze. Are your fingers sore?

It looks so easy when he does it doesn't it? Do you find he sounds like George Bush?

Cher, I have a hard time with the large curls too. As you see, my wrap is pretty tiny. I have given up on the larger stones for now as I have much better luck with the tiny ones. It doesn't seem to hurt the fingers much, It is all done with dead soft wire.
Tweetiepy, Ha! George Bush! Yeah
Thanks for the complements everyone. ::blushing::

The small size of the wrap is what amazes me. Very intricate and beautifully done.

Thanks again for the complements, I really appreciate it. It helps a lot with the self confidence! Sands - I don't have small hands at all, wedding ring is size 10. But I can't manage the bigger stones. They won't stay put for me, and they need double wire to look right. I have a hard enough time controlling one wire at a time, two or more is way beyond me right now! Need lots more practice.
